The training aimed to promote, through international cooperation between the NGO Pastoral do Povo da Rua, the Department of Social Work of PUC-Rio University, Brazil, The Oswaldo Public Health Foundation, Brazil, and the Dental Public Health Sector at School of Dentistry, University of Dundee, in Scotland, a two-day training event on reflective and participatory methodological approaches for working with the homeless population. Lessons learnt on participatory research for working and involvement of people with lived experience brought a practical dimension to these days where participants shared experiences of work and expanded their knowledge and work strategies to have a positive impact on people living on the streets.
