Performance actualises that which it suggests. If an action is performed in a particular order, it has the power of tradition regardless of whether it is performed for the first time or the thousandth. This transformational power emerges from form (a particular ordering of time, space, and objects) and repeatability, which suggests past repetitions and thus also truth (understood as a temporal and experiential stability of basic assumptions).
