Turning the Titanic: Criminal Justice Cultures, Communication and the Digital Age

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talk

Description

While changing the working practices of some criminal justice agencies, such as the police, is not impossible, it can be notoriously difficult. In the digital age, we live and work in a context of constant change. How have the police adapted to this? What are some of the challenges posed by new technologies in policing and criminal justice? Prof Megan O'Neill will address these and other questions, through a reflection on her research into policing and criminal justice over the past 20 years, including recent and ongoing work on digital contact technologies in policing, Body Worn Cameras and communication practices in digital forensic evidence.
