    This presentation provided insight into Elaine’s experiences as a mother of identical twins who received a post-natal diagnosis of Down syndrome. She discussed aspects of the diagnosis in addition to early intervention, ongoing support and the impact of terminology and stereotyping. Elaine presented alongside her 8-year-old sons who have Down syndrome who discussed their lives as children with a disability. They also gave insight into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their lives.
