DescriptionEveryone has their own dental profile that makes us unique and one of a kind. This means when someone dies who cannot be identified, their teeth can help build a story of the person’s life. Using dental profiling techniques, scientists can establish not only age, gender and race of an individual can be determined, but also information on their health, job, diet, family relationships as well as psychological characteristics. Café Science Dundee returns with an informal talk from forensic dentist Dr. Scheila Manica, who will share more insights from her career, followed by a question and answer session. Join us at Café Science Dundee at our new venue Medina Bar & Grill at 113 Nethergate on Monday 16th September 2019, at 7pm. This is a free event and everyone is welcome. There is no need to book in advance but arrive early to avoid disappointment.
