Frank Ruda: "What we call freedom today is a marker of oppression"

Frank Ruda is one of the more famous German interpreters and experts in Hegel today. Although he is a lecturer at the University of Scotland at Dundee, but in recent years he has closely connected with many prominent Slovenian philosophers and has become involved in controversies here. Already in 2015, we received his first major book, Hegel's Slovene, in Slovene translation, and last week a new work with the somewhat challenging title Abolish Freedom - a Defense of the Modern Use of Fatalism, which philosopher Simon Hajdini also called a little liberating: in the flood of manuals for success and during a period of obsession with performance, this is supposed to be a guide with tips on how to fail (and enjoy).

In recent years, we have been trying to understand why and where populists such as Trump or Johnson came to power. You remembered one of the more convincing explanations, namely: the government is shaking us.

Frank Ruda: "To, čemur danes pravimo svoboda, je označevalec zatiranja"

Frank Ruda je danes eden bolj znanih nemških interpretov in poznavalcev Hegla.
