Meet The Woman Who Heads A Massively Influential All-Female Tech Team

Vicki Hanson’s credentials within the technology sector are impressive to say the least, and the professor of computing from the Rochester Institute of Technology is passionate about her subject.

But while she is clearly proud to have been voted recently as the new president of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), she makes no secret of her desire to see many more women making their way into executive positions across the technology industry.

The ACM is the largest organization of its kind in the world, with millions of people using its educational resources on a global basis every year but, Hanson says: “It would be nice to see more women in leadership roles at the top for-profit companies in the tech industry”.
