The 15th report written by Keith Topping on book choices of school students in the UK, Ireland and several overseas countries was reported by many paper, online, radio and teelvision media. 

Coverage appeared in secured 17 National pieces, 2 Trade pieces and 180+ regional pieces of coverage

Highlights include the piece in The Times, “BookTok sets trends as children read more but enjoy it less” and the piece in The Guardian, “Children read almost 25% more books last year, UK and Ireland study finds” which led on the home page of the Guardian, leading the Culture section.

The number of books children read increased by almost a quarter last year as trends on TikTok help shape reading habits, according to research. For secondary school pupils, Kinney was most popular followed by Walliams and JK Rowling. Renaissance, a learning and assessment provider, carried out the study, which was analysed by Professor Keith Topping, of Dundee University.
