Dataset

Description

This dataset contains numerical simulation results used to generate key figures in the paper “Impact of tunnel alignment on local seismic lining actions”, published in Géotechnique. The data represents seismic response parameters (e.g. axial force, bending moment, shear force, and displacement) along a curved tunnel alignment based on a beam-on-nonlinear-Winkler-foundation (BNWF) model. The figures cover both synchronous and asynchronous seismic excitation scenarios across various shear-wave velocities. Data corresponds to a model of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) tunnel at CERN and was generated as part of a study on alignment-scale soil–structure interaction effects under earthquake loading. Each Excel sheet tab corresponds to one figure (Figures 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 15), and includes X–Y data suitable for replotting and reuse.
