I am currently serving as a Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Research) at the Dundee School of Business, United Kingdom. My academic career has been shaped by significant milestones, including the completion of a Ph.D. and a post-doctoral fellowship at the prestigious University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), School of Management. Over the years, I have held a variety of academic positions, including Associate Professor at Shenzhen University (2021-2024), Assistant Professor at Fatima Jinnah Women’s University, Rawalpindi (2020-2021), Adjunct Professor at Riphah International University, Islamabad (since January 2019), and Lecturer at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan (2009-2015).

With over 14 years of experience in academia, I have developed expertise in management sciences, with a particular focus on Business Management. My teaching experience spans undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. levels, including courses on research methods, digitization, media consumption, and information systems management. Since 2013, I have been actively involved in educating master’s level students and guiding Ph.D. candidates, working within academic settings both in China and Pakistan.

My doctoral research primarily focused on information systems (IS) management, exploring the negative impacts of information technology on employee productivity. Presently, my research interests are interdisciplinary, investigating various behavioral, psychophysiological, and managerial dimensions within IS and Organizational Behavior (OB) contexts. I am currently working on a range of topics related to carbon neutrality at the strategic level, with a particular focus on how technologies, such as information systems and process-based technologies, are playing a crucial role in helping organizations achieve carbon neutrality. This includes exploring strategies at the firm level to reduce carbon emissions and identify the key facilitators and barriers to success.

My research portfolio covers a broad spectrum of topics, including the impact of technology on employee motivation, the adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning, and factors contributing to workplace resistance. I employ a variety of data analysis techniques, including qualitative and quantitative methods, systematic literature reviews, multiple regression, structural equation modeling, and multilevel modeling.

With over 50 peer-reviewed articles published in leading international journals, including Information & Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Business Research, Computers in Human Behavior, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Cleaner Production, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Internet Research, my work has contributed significantly to the understanding of the sociocultural dynamics, risks, uncertainties, and security practices related to information systems platforms.
