Biography

Alexia is a Lecturer in the School of Education and Social Work. She currently teaches on the MA (Hons) and MEd programmes. 

Alexia has ten years of teaching and management experience in early years and primary settings, in the UK and abroad. She has also worked as a Research Associate with the Centre for Psychophysiology in Education, of the National and Kapodistrian University in Athens and as a Research Assistant for iConcipio, a UK based company developing an online mental health and wellbeing intervention for HE students.

Alexia works at the intersection of psychology and education, and in particular outdoor learning. She is currently exploring how different experiences and pedagogical approaches can promote (or hinder) nature connectedness in children in the early years and beyond.
