Ana joined the University of Dundee as a Lecturer in Film Studies and Visual Culture in September 2014. She received her PhD in Film Studies from the University of Edinburgh, after completing undergraduate studies at Bryn Mawr College. She has taught at the University of Edinburgh and the University of Stirling; and in 2014, Berghahn Books published her monograph, Beyond the Looking Glass: Narcissism and Female Stardom in Studio-Era Hollywood.

Ana’s research interests include:

  • psychoanalytic and feminist film theory
