Biography
Aude Fiorini, Maîtrise, LL.M., D.E.A, is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dundee. She has extensive experience in teaching private international law both in Scotland and in France.
Her publications span across the civil/commercial and family sides of private international law with a special focus on the processes and challenges of its Europeanisation. Calling on her Franco-German legal training and years of experience as an academic on both sides of the channel, she seeks to provide a comparative and balanced common law – civil law perspective to her legal analysis and advice.
In addition to her academic experience, Aude Fiorini has acted as a government adviser, and for over ten years, she has been a judicial trainer for the TAIEX office of the European Commission and the ERA, as well as a consultant to the Hague Conference on Private International Law. In 2012, she authored ‘Which Legal Basis for Family Law? The Way Forward’ for the JURI Committee and addressed the European Parliament in 2013 and 2016 on the realisation of the Civil Justice Agenda.
