Daniela is a research assistant in the Chalmers lab with an interest in lung microbiome and infectious diseases. She is near completion of her PhD from the University of St Andrews, under the supervision of Dr Derek Sloan and Prof Stephen Gillespie where she focused on treatment monitoring and diagnostic tools for non-tuberculous mycobacteria pulmonary disease, in particular Mycobacterium abscessus. In 2017, Daniela obtained her BSc (Hons) in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Dundee.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
