Gillian is lecturer in the School of Education and Social Work. She teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Gillian’s professional interests include philosophy of education, physical literacy, wellbeing, physical education, Olympic education, and research methodologies.
Gillian completed her initial teacher education at the Scottish School of PE, Sport and Leisure, Moray House College Edinburgh, and further studies at the Universities of Stirling, the Peloponnese, and Dundee.
Previous posts were in further education, physical education teacher education and secondary schools.

Current research interests feature phenomenology, (post)qualitative, posthuman and sociomaterialist theory with an ongoing interest in digital methods.
