Biography

Hannah Whaley is Director of Library Services at the University of Dundee. Hannah holds an MBA from Durham University and was previously Assistant Director of the Library and Learning Centre in Dundee since 2009. She has wide-ranging experience across library domains and has served on external boards and committees in arts, culture, libraries, and publishing. Hannah is currently Chair of the Management Board for the Scottish Universities Press, and a member of SCONUL's Content Strategy Group and JISC's Transitional Agreements Oversight Committee.

The Director of Library Services role combines leadership across all Library teams, ensuring services are equipped to meet emerging challenges and opportunities in information provision and open research. Capital investment to refurbish the Main Library is planned to keep pace with expectations for modern library environments.
