Jihye Kim joined University of Dundee School of Business in September 2020. She received her BA from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Republic of Korea), MBA from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (Republic of Korea), Mphil and PhD from the University of Manchester (UK). Her PhD thesis investigated the drivers of successful collaborations between Business and Civil Society Organisations by applying PLS-SEM using SmartPLS 3 software. During her PhD, she undertook various assistant teaching roles within Alliance Manchester Business School such as leading seminars in Global Contexts in International Business and Case Studies in Management.
Research interest: Corporate social responsibility, Cross-sector partnership, Sustainable development goals, Social value creation, International business, International human resource management.
Jihye Kim's work has been published in Management International Review(MIR) and International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior and Research (IJEBR).
In March 2022 she was awarded a research grant from Anglia Ruskin University in UK for the project 'The role of industry 5.0 technologies in social innovation and employee wellbeing'. Award value: £7500
In July 2021 she was awarded a research grant from NSBM Green University Town in Sri Lanka for the project 'Industry 4.0 technologies in social enterprises: Adoption and role on achieving social and environmental goals'. Award value: £3000
In October 2021 she was awarded a University of Dundee School of Social Sciences Strategic Development Impact Funding grant for the project 'Using Social Media Data in Innovation Research: Prospects and Challenges'. Award value: £3500 (with Dr Nicolas Li)
