Biography
Jon is the University's Senior Public Engagement Officer and is responsible for ensuring consistency in approach to public engagement across the University.
He is the lead administrator for the University's Public Engagement Forum, its Working Groups and chairs the Public Engagement Network, where we share best practice.
Jon is also responsible for communications around our public engagement including our engage web pages and the Public Engagement Newsletter.
Jon is a member of both Scottish and UK wide parliamentary networks and raises awareness of parliamentary and policy issues pertinent to our research, teaching and enterprise work.
He plans and develops core public engagement events and activity, such as Discovery Days, Cafe Science and Dundee Arts Cafe. His interest lie in supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, working directly to enhance the profile of Black History Month and Disabilities History Month from 2020 and beyond.
Jon completed the Engage Academy organised by the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement in 2019.
