Personal profile


Jung In Jung is an interdisciplinary artist and researcher. She is interested in experimental and playful compositional approaches. She explores the intimate relationship between sound and motion mediated with interactive technology. Her work has been presented at various international festivals and conferences including ISEA, CHI-Play, xCoAx, Sonica, Athens Video Dance Project, Vivarium Festival, MIVSC São Carlos Videodance and NEoN Digital Arts Festival. She has curated several art and technology exhibitions as a member of the New York based artist collective Flux Factory.


She joined the InGAME (Innovation in Games and Media Enterprise) project in 2019 as a postdoctoral research fellow. Her current research involves exploring the embodiment of musical expression in an immersive virtual environment such as VR, using hand tracking and machine learning technology. She is also running a series of Experimental Games Lab workshops with the partner organisation Biome Collective as InGAME Brain Trust.
