Teaching

Dr McConville is an academic general practitioner, currently also practising clinically within NHS Tayside.  Graduating at the University of Dundee (MBChB, 1998). He also holds DRCOG, DFSRH, FRCGP and Masters in Medical Education. He is currently working on his Educational Doctorate on a thesis entitled: Becoming a GP Trainer – Exploring the Barriers and Enablers

He has worked as a previous GP specialist in substance misuse and for SIGN (Obesity) guidelines development.

 

His research interests are in mental health, performance management and medical education.

 

He currently works for the medical school within a number of roles that span the medical education spectrum
