I obtained a BSc. and DSc. degrees in Mathematics (2011 and 2017, respectively) at the Federal University of Pernambuco, Recife, Brazil. As a doctoral candidate, I worked with a variety of topics in Differential Geometry, Statistical Mechanics, and Quantum Mechanics under the supervision of Fernando A. N. Santos. After three semesters as a Temporary Lecturer at the same University, I moved for five years (2018-23) of Postdoctoral Training at the Department of Physics of Complex Systems of the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Under the supervision of Efi Efrati, I worked on a variety of topics related to the application of Differential Geometry to Soft Matter Physics. I have been a Lecturer in Mathematics at the University of Dundee since December 2023.

I am interested in Differential Geometry as well as its application to problems in Soft Matter Physics. I have research experience in the following subjects: submanifold theory in Riemannian and non-Riemannian geometries (with a special emphasis on finding characteristic properties of space forms); vector fields and liquid crystals; minimal surfaces and the geometry of biological membranes; quantum dynamics on curved spaces; and classical phase transitions in spin models.
