Biography

Marie is a lecturer on the Professional Doctorate and the MEd Development programmes and is a doctoral supervisor. She joined the School in 2013. Before moving to Scotland Marie spent a number of years working in various roles within the mainstream education sector. Upon moving to Scotland Marie became an education lecturer in FE prior to commencing her role at the University. Marie's experiences across the different sectors have provided her with a broad base on which to build her professional knowledge. Throughout her career, Marie has had a keen interest in Leadership and Management. Alongside this Marie's research interests include Complexity Theory, Creativity and Innovation, and Sustainability.
Outside of work, Marie enjoys returning to her passion for the Natural Sciences stemmed from her undergraduate studies in Environmental Science and spending time outdoors. She has recently taken up photography and is enjoying merging this with the natural environment. 
•    PhD: Marie has completed her PhD with a focus on leadership, creativity, and complexity.
•    Leadership roles: Marie is currently the Academic Lead for all MEd students undertaking their studies via Stafford Global, particularly for the MENA regions. She is also ESW's School Lead for Employability, Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship.
