M.Sc. Science and Technology Studies (University of Edinburgh, 1993), Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. (TU Darmstadt, 1994), Ph.D. (University of Edinburgh, 1999), M.A. TLHE (Keele University, 2009). Professor of Commerce at Keele (2005-13) and Dundee (2013-16). Honorary Visiting Professor of Economics, University of Buckingham. Past President of the Scottish Economic Society. Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management and of the Higher Education Academy. CSO, European Crowdfunding Network. Author of An Introduction to Behavioral Economics (3rd ed. Palgrave Macmillan, with Nick Wilkinson).

Economic governance, alternative finance, methodology. Venture creation. Experiential learning.
