Biography
Oceane Laisney holds a MSc conversion in Psychology from the University of the West of Scotland. After this conversion of orientation from her first degree in Business and languages, Oceane pursued her Psychology training in integrating the Research methods in Psychology program at the University of St Andrews and graduated in 2018.
Oceane has joined the Leverhulme Rresearch Centre for Forensic Science in Fall 2019 to explore Science capital amongst professional non-scientists involved in criminal investigations.
Research
Oceane's PhD project explores science capitals amongst professionals non-scientists involved in all aspects of a criminal investigation. The research builds on science communication research, public engagement knowledge and adult education to determine the best approach in engaging these professionals with the aim of improving decision making based on scientific evidence.
