Dr Rodiat is a Lecturer in Finance at University of Dundee, UK. She has PhD in Finance from SOAS University of London, fully sponsored by Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, UK. Before commencing her PhD in London, she was a Lecturer in Finance at University of Ilorin, Nigeria, same institution she had her first and second degrees. Rodiat finished top in her undergraduate class, with a first class honours and was awarded best graduating student in the department.

During her Masters, she also finished top with a distinction. She is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Banker. Rodiat’s research interests are in the areas of corporate finance, financial economics, financial markets, development and sustainable finance. Her current research focuses on two thematic issues. First, the infrastructural interaction between Africa and China; second is the developmental benefits of Africa's romance with China vis a vis the financial, socio-economic and technological implications on Africa.
