Biography
Sarah is a lecturer in the Division of Education and Society. She teaches on undergraduate programmes.
Sarah's professional interests include adult learning and literacies, creative and meaningful community engagement and critcal reflection.
Sarah undertook her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Strathclyde. Working in a local primary school and volunteering in various settings led to her discovering her passion for working with individuals and communities. She gained her Post Graduate Diploma in Community Education at University of Dundee. She subsequently worked in a range of community development contexts and settings for 20 years in Dundee. This included youth work, youth literacies work, adult learning and community development.
While teaching on the Community Educaton BA Hons programme, Sarah completed her Masters' Degree in Community Education.
She continues to teach on the programme whilst sustaining and developing collaborative practice with the field, local and nationally.
