Biography

Susan Buckman is a lecturer in education and teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Her areas of specialism include primary education, history teaching and educational studies. Susan's main area of research interest is in the built environment and urban studies.

Susan's professional background is in both the primary and secondary education. She taught in primary schools mainly in the upper years before moving to teach English and History in the secondary sector. Susan is a member of the Education and Social Work Business Development and internationalisation Committee where she is the Go Abroad Academic Coordinator overseeing student international mobility. She is also the Erasmus Academic Coordinator for the school. Prior to a career in education Susan worked in the finance sector. Her hobbies include walking, cycling and reading.

Susan currently teaches on MA (Hons) Education, PGDE Primary Education and Master of Education.
