Dr. Taylor Hill recently completed her PhD in Experimental Psychology from Dalhousie University (Canada), where she focused on statistical techniques to identify everyday personality-driven processes during everyday activities which contribute to happiness. During her PhD, she was the lead data analyst for the largest single non-government well-being dataset in Canada (The Nova Scotia Quality of Life Initiative) where she fell in love with population survey methods, open science, and data visualization. She is now a Lecturer in Psychology, studying well-being at both the individual level (positive psychology) and population level (community mental health promotion).
Taylor directs the Socio-Ecological Well-Being Research Lab, with the overall goal of advancing positive mental health as a public health priority through methodologically-diverse research. This research operates at the individual level and the population level, using basic and applied methods. To learn more about the SEW lab, please visit dundeewellbeinglab.com.
In the Winter 2025 term, Taylor will be co-leading the new PY12003 (Psychology and Me) module.
