Biography

Dr. Taylor Hill recently completed her PhD in Experimental Psychology from Dalhousie University (Canada), where she focused on statistical techniques to identify everyday personality-driven processes during everyday activities which contribute to happiness. During her PhD, she was the lead data analyst for the largest single non-government well-being dataset in Canada (The Nova Scotia Quality of Life Initiative) where she fell in love with population survey methods, open science, and data visualization. She is now a Lecturer in Psychology, studying well-being at both the individual level (positive psychology) and population level (community mental health promotion).

Research interests

Taylor directs the Socio-Ecological Well-Being Research Lab, with the overall goal of advancing positive mental health as a public health priority through methodologically-diverse research. This research operates at the individual level and the population level, using basic and applied methods. Teaching

In the Winter 2025 term, Taylor will be co-leading the new PY12003 (Psychology and Me) module.
