Biography

Thando joined the School of Business, University of Dundee, in June 2022 as a lecturer in Accounting. He holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Thando also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education at the University of London, where his performance won him the Student Learning Gain Award for 2021. Prior to joining the University, he taught accounting at the university level for ten years. His research interests include employee-related disclosures, financial reporting by unlisted companies, the internationalisation of accounting standards, and issues that involve accounting education. Thando is also a chartered accountant.
