    Moved to work at University of Dundee from a Chair at University of York

    (Professor of Psychometric Epidemiology based in the Mental Health and Addictions Research Group in the School of Health Sciences & Hull York Medical School/HYMS) . In 2016 my School in Dundee was renamed the School of Nursing & Health Sciences (acronym SNHS).

    For the University I am currently a Professorial member of University of Dundee Senatus Academicus (until 2021).

     

    I have held personal awards (four) for much of my career with the most senior being as a Career Scientist (in Public Mental Health) (UK Department of Health). This was my last awarded and supported me for 5 yrs (topic - latent variable epidemiology).

    I serve on NIHR funding panels and am currently a Deputy Chair the Advanced Fellowships panel for the NIHR Academy. In 2018/19 I was on the ARC panel.

    I have also supported and mentored the careers of other Fellowship holders from a range of funders including The Wellcome Trust and NIHR.

    I sit on School Boards for two other UoD Schools, Design/DJCAD (since 2016) and the School of Social Sciences (since October 2017). I am also associated with the Farr Institute (in Scotland) and advise the Dundee Health Informatics Centre HIC^ (Advisory and Oversight Committee member).

    For NHS England I am a member of the Oversight & Advisory Board, Mental Health: initially the Five Year Forward View - - and now the Long Term Plan.
