Biography
Vincenzo Rinaldi is a Senior Research Engineer at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science, University of Dundee (UoD) and CTO at Ground Truth XR. He holds a master’s in software engineering from the University of Catania. Previously, he developed Extended Reality (XR) applications for museums, education, and security as an R&D Engineer. At the UoD, he won the Engaged Early Career Researcher of the Year - Stephen Fry Award 2024 and led a project recognised with The Herald Higher Education Awards in 2023. He collaboratively raised over £430K for research in 3D digitalisation and XR systems applied to forensic training and investigations and their commercialisation.
