Research

Xiaoren focuses on the empirical studies on intellectual property law and relevant issues in platform economy, cyber law and technology law. She is interested in using surveys, experiments and data analysis to reveal hidden problems in the legal system, providing evidence to legal changes.  

Teaching

Xiaoren teaches Intellectual Property Law (LLB, LLM), law and technology (LLB) at Dundee Law School. She also supervises PhD students, LLB and LLM students.

Biography

Xiaoren received her J.S.D degree at the University of Illinois in May of 2019. She was an Academic Visitor at the University of Oxford (2023), Max Web fellow (2019-2020) in the European University Institute, Research Associate (2020-2022) at CREATe Centre, the University of Glasgow as well as Global Fellow affiliated in New York University (2020-2021).
