Video Art in Italy 1968–1994Visiting: Dipartimento Comunicazione e Spettacolo, Roma Tre, Universita Degli Studi, ItalyMy current AHRC research project REWINDItalia investigates early Italian video art activity. Italy was a vibrant centre of video art production and exhibition and was remarkable because of the international reach of the work produced. It is timely that its history and circumstances that characterised its rise and, ultimately, its fall into international critical oblivion are brought to light. This award allowed me to spend additional time in Italy at relevant centres and archives, and develop curatorial elements outside the scope of the original project.
