    Description

    • This has been a stressful start to the first semester for many students on my course due to COVID-19 and moving to online learning and Gil has gone above and beyond to offer support through making sure we know her door (emails!) are always open for any problem, it doesn't have to be related to the module. Through moving weeks of the module around to balance workloads around other modules, to holding clinics after every class for 30 minutes or more to answer any questions we may have, giving us the option of talking privately or publicly she has been considerate of our needs and worries. Gil has taught us with enthusiasm and warmth to help lessen the stress of heavy topics and shown that she will leave no stone unturned to make sure our first semester is as welcoming to the university as it can be, especially going into our second semester where we have the uncertainty around placements looming. I believe I would have struggled significantly more if I had not had the pleasure of having Gil as one of my main lecturers.
