    Abstract

As a prelude to The Ignorant Art School Sit-in #4 Outside the Circle,
Schools, the in-conversation event brought together internationally renowned feminist, postcolonial and social art historian Prof. Griselda Pollock, and Varsha Nair one of the artist-organisers of Womanifesto, a Thailand based women artists’ collective. They shared reflections on alternative knowledge formation, radical feminist pedagogical intervention in university curricula, and sustaining collective practice with critical feminist solidarity.

The in-conversation was chaired by Sophia Yadong Hao, Director of Cooper Gallery.

Practising Duets was a series of trans-disciplinary events organised by The Ignorant Art Schools, a research group of the British Art Network (BAN) led by Cooper Gallery Director Sophia Yadong Hao in collaboration with researchers from Teesside University and Goldsmiths London.
