Abdominal thermography in acute appendicitis

    Abstract

    Abdominal thermography was carried out in 50 patients with suspected acute appendicitis. Forty of these came to laparotomy and in 32 the diagnosis was confirmed. Thermography was not found to be useful in predicting those patients requiring surgery.
