Abstract
In order to help in analyzing PET data and to take advantage of their metabolic content, a system was designed and implemented to align and process data from various medical imaging modalities, particularly (but not only) for brain studies. Although this system is most frequently used for anatomical localization, multimodality ROIs, and pharmaco-kinetic modeling, more multimodality protocols will be implemented in the future. They will be used not only to help in PET reconstruction data correction and semiautomated ROI definition, but also to help improve diagnostic accuracy along with surgery and therapy planning.
