Abstract
Currently practitioners use a binary approach to DNA profile interpretation. However it is recognised that methods considering peak heights/areas are preferable. In this paper we give an example that shows how peaks in stutter position and preferential amplification can be included in a calculation of likelihood ratios using a model that takes into account peak heights.
