Abstract

This is an edited recorded of a live online event held on 13 December 2022 to accompany the exhibition Bacchanal: Le We Be Free in the Lamb Gallery, University of Dundee. The event took the form of an insightful and entertaining conversation between the exhibition's curator Cat Dunn and visual artist Ashanti Harris. They discuss music and movement as social commentary within Caribbean Carnivals, their importance for identity and culture and Harris's amazing artworks and concepts from Dancing a Peripheral Quadrille, featured in the exhibition.
