Abstract

In June 2021 the artist Desiree Coral and I created the publication "Concurrently Simultaneously". For this Bienal in the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Quito, the publication was presented as a wall instillation piece, further exploring the book's themes regarding time during the covid era. Statement from the Bienal website: "The Bienal Universitaria de Arte Multimedial, BUAM, is an initiative of the San Francisco de Quito University co-organised with the Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Quito and the support of the Higher Education Council, it is proposed as a meeting space for the university community, cultural and artistic nationwide. Its objective is to detonate and promote spaces for conversation and exchange around the production of knowledge that takes place in art, constituting a space for confluence and debate on contemporary issues."
