Abstract

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design (DJCAD), University of Dundee, was invited to facilitate an exhibition of artwork, addressing the subject of substance misuse, to coincide with the ISAM (International Society of Addiction Medicine) Dundee 2015 Congress on addiction, coming to Dundee, Scotland, in October 2015. DJCAD’s role was to facilitate a connection between the scientific conference and the local community. Two student projects were developed to engage local community organisations and individuals within DJCAD through the subject of addiction, providing a context for the project briefs.
