Abstract
We present a case study that confirms footwear to be a further aetiology for the development of plantar fasciitis symptoms causing pain in the plantar medial calcaneal area. Discontinued use of the footwear resolved the condition. Footwear assessment, and especially shoe construction and wear should form an essential component of routine clinical examination.
