Abstract
The present chapter provides a concise review of the personality construct referred to as the Dark Triad. First, a broad overview of the Dark Triad is provided and the theoretical overlap between psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism is discussed. Following this, the unique aspects of subclinical psychopathy, narcissism, and Machiavellianism are outlined. Finally, the most prominent self-report measures of the Dark Triad are reviewed.
