    Abstract

Design in Action, a £4,000,000 funded Arts and Humanities research council supported project, is seeking to understand how businesses can develop their knowledge and use of design using it as a strategic tool. Design in Action has evolved a model for engagement with a number of key sectors, ICT, Rural Economies, Wellbeing, Food, Sport, identified by the Scottish Government as having the potential for growth. Design in Action will deliver a model for innovation at the front end of the pipeline, so that it compliments the existing business support services available for development.
