DRAWN provides an overview of artist Anita Taylor's drawing practice, and was published to accompany a solo exhibition held at The Customs House in South Shields that included her monumental charcoal drawings that interrogate notions of the body, the self-portrait, and the gaze. The exhibition featured a new series, Witness, as well as a range of ink drawings that explore sequences that feature female protagonists from myths and other narratives. This publication represents 30 years of artistic practice, and includes an essay by Charlotte Mullins and the artist.
