Abstract
Educators are fundamental in the development and implementation of adaptive learning. Their involvement is a core role in the education sector. This PhD aims to understand educators' role as stakeholders in creating adaptive learning environments.
Work to date has included a systematic literature review and interview/workshop sessions with twelve educators to understand their teaching styles and how they adapt their lessons. Literature and interview findings will be used to develop an adaptive learning system, using educators' current methods as "education design patterns" that can assist in making more interactive and adaptive educational lessons.
