Abstract
Endorobotics: Design, R&D and Future Trends addresses the need for endorobots, describing medical requirements and applications. Sections provide a state-of-the-art on robots for endoscopy (endorobots), including devices already available in the market and others in R&D stages. Other sections focus on engineering design and cover the health cost of current technology and how a cost-effective device can have a substantial impact. The book also includes information on medical regulation and product commercialization, all steps needed to make new technology available. A case study is presented at the end of each section to demonstrate how the discussed topic can be successfully implemented.
