In the Research Focus article by Claire Halpin and Wout Boerjan in the August issue of Trends in Plant Science [Halpin, C. and Boerjan, W. (2003) Stacking transgenes in forest trees. Trends Plant Sci. 8, 363–365], reference 16 should be cited as Campbell, M.M. et al. (2003) Forestry's fertile crescent: the application of biotechnology to forest trees. Plant Biotechnol.
