Abstract

A note on the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights in several cases based on claims that states' inadequate action on climate change is infringing human rights. Procedural issues blocked most claims but the Court did decide that failing to protect individuals from the impact of climate change is a breach of the European Convention on Human Rights.
