Abstract
This project evaluates Manchester’s digital strategy and local development framework in the context of smart city development. I examined how digital technologies such as IoT, AI, and big data contribute to sustainability, quality of life, and urban governance. Using international frameworks like ISO 37122, ITU-T, and CITYkeys, I created my own analytical model to assess Manchester’s progress across key smart city dimensions, including economy, environment, governance, and social well-being. The project also identifies gaps and offers recommendations for improving smart infrastructure, digital inclusion, and future smartness scalability.
